OPENMIND
Logline
In a near-future walled megacity, freedom has been traded for enforced serenity: a neural interface called OM lets the state silently edit its citizens' memories. Clara Sanatta, a museum archivist who orders the past so she never has to lose it again, watches her husband — OM's creator — vanish without a trace. Hunted by the state and sheltered by the resistance group Balam, Clara must cross a series of trials — confronting the griefs she has never let herself release — to breach the OM core. To find David and decide the fate of every memory in the city, she will have to surrender the one thing that has kept her alive: control.
Premise
OM was supposed to be the next step in human evolution — a neural network connecting every mind on the planet, promising perfect communication, shared memory, and collective intelligence. Clara's husband, David, helped design it. Then, he disappeared. What begins as a desperate search becomes something far more dangerous. OM is not just connecting memories — it is rewriting them. The city's residents are being edited. And those who notice are being erased. Forced to partner with the rebel group Balam, Clara finds herself fighting not just the city's most powerful corporation, but a technology that can alter the fundamental fabric of who we are.
