Logline
Five years after a secret group engineers a global pandemic to force humanity's reset, two sisters cross a dying continent to find safety — only to discover that the architects of the apocalypse are the ones building the new world.
Premise
ANN (30) and KALEEN (18) are sisters who survived the end of civilization. Seven years of scavenging the ruins of Los Angeles have made them guarded and fiercely bonded. When their city runs out of resources, they head south — a journey through abandoned highways, warlord-controlled borderlands, and the ghost of a once-great civilization.
At the end of their journey lies Nueva Tenoch, a thriving new city built over the ruins of the Mexican capital using ancient Aztec techniques. It is the most hopeful place left on Earth. However, it is also built on a secret that will shatter Ann's understanding of justice.
The two sisters must decide whether it is possible to create something positive from the worst thing humanity has ever done, and whether love, rather than mere survival, is a sufficient reason to carry on.
